| The Theseus was Bristol's first gas turbine engine. A turboprop design, it was soon superseded by the Proteus. Only two Theseus powered HP.82's were built. |

| (1) The Saro Princess had ten Proteus engine. Two of them were mounted singly but the remaining eight engines were mounted in pairs (see picture), each pair driving a contra-rotating propeller.
The Proteus was used by Donald Campbell to power his Bluebird car which broke the world land speed record in 1964

| The Olympus was Bristol's first turbojet engine design. It has seen a four fold increase in thrust during its life and is still going strong today. The Olympus was licenced toWright Aeronautical under the designation J-67 but problems with Wright meant that the J-67 never went into production. |

| The Orpheus was also built under licence by Fiat, Hindustan (India) and KHD (Germany). The Orpheus was subsequently used as the core section for the Pegasus vectored thrust engine.
